Description: Scene Speak is a fantastic app that allows us to teach vocab in a unique way. It uses a feature called the’ hotspot’ which allows us to add text, photos or our voice to different parts of a picture. Think of a child unable to remember all the children in his class. What an easy way to help him. Take a photo of the whole class with the teacher and any Teaching Assistants working in the class. Add a recorded voice and text over the name. This way the child would be able to touch on another student in his class and hear the name being spoken along with how it is spelt for visual recognition. Another idea might be a photo book. Add spoken text to parts of the page to tell what’s happening in the picture, make a social story! You can also make single photos or images into a book to add to your Bookshelf. Endless possibilities.
